[Class 60] Safety razor blades of the backed or the double edge type, are sharpened by means of a slotted holder 2 of such shape as to present the blade at the required angle. The holder may be of metal or synthetic plastic material or both and may be produced by machining, pressing or die casting or by cutting from extruded rod. For a double edged blade the holder has a longer belt manoeuvre slot. The hone may be of glass with one face polished and the other ground or matt.
