[Class 60.] A device for sharpening or stropping double edged razor blades consists of a case 10 containing a stropping &c. member 11 and having guide grooves 9 for a, slidable frame 8, in which are pivoted trunnion-like extremities of a blade-holder 6, one of the extremities carrying a leaf spring 7 projecting on each side. As the frame is reciprocated, the spring engages under a flange 12 on the case, passing clear of the flange at position C, Fig. 2, so that the blade 5 is turned to treat the other edge. At the other end of the case, the blade is turned, by the action of the spring, so that on the reverse stroke the other face of the edge being sharpened contacts with the member 11.
