[Class 30.] A device for facilitating hand sharpening of safety razors consists of a rod a of wood &c. having a slot b at one or both ends fitted with a bent metal lining c; one slot may be narrower than the other, in order to suit blades both with and without backings. The slot is closed on to the blade by a sleeve d guided by pins e to slide on the rod, and the rod, resting on a strop or hone, determines the angle of contact of the blade therewith.
