Composite paving-blocks.-A paving slab, constructed to simulate crazy paving, comprises a foundation of concrete in which broken sheets or slates of asbestos cement are embedded so as to present a flat tread surface. The body of the slab may be formed with perforations or pockets to receive soil for growing grass or plants and the edges may be notched for the same purpose. One method of manufacture is to secure the broken pieces of cement to the pallet of a mould by means of adhesive, and then pour cement over them to form the foundation of the block.
