Abstract

244,321. Thomson, J. G. April 8, 1925. Paving blocks.-Block paving for roads is made up of two kinds of interfitting pyramidal blocks A, B. The blocks A, of square-based form, and of which two only of the four inclined faces are seen in the Figures, are placed base downwards on the foundations as shown in Fig. 8, and blocks B of tetrahedral form are placed with their equilateral faces against the corresponding inclined faces of the blocks A so as to form. a cavity in the centre to receive blocks A' similar to the blocks A, but inverted as shown in Fig. 9. The blocks are preferably made of concrete and may be reinforced.
