Block paving. - Asphalt road surfaces are rendered non-slipping by running the asphalt c between a number of studs b formed on the upper surfaces of each of the brick or concrete blocks a forming the paving, the asphalt being flush with the upper surfaces of the studs. The studs are preferably of frusto-conical or pyramidal form and are integral with the blocks.
