Abstract
437,954. Paving-blocks. REID, A. F., Trafford Farm, Benenden, Kent. May 4, 1934, No. 13585. [Class 87 (i)] A block for road paving, kerbs, road markings, &c. comprises an inverted channel-shaped metal portion 1 with its top 2 corrugated to provide a key for a rubber face 11 secured thereto either directly or through a layer 10 of hard rubber. The portion 1 may be filled with concrete. The rubber may extend partly down the side walls 4, the upper parts of which may be stepped so that the sides of the block are flat apart from distancing projections 9 which may be formed thereon. Undercut holes 3 may be provided in the top 2 and keying lugs 7 bent out of the side walls 4.
