Abstract

318,638. Wrona, C. Sept. 8, 1928, [Convention date]. Fixed-abutment type; weight of moving parts, reducing.-The vanes of a rotary pump are provided with enlargements Q which slide in grooves N in the rotor slots and which are exposed, when passing the outlet, to the delivery pressure by a recess T; the grooves at the underside may Le connected to the atmosphere by ducts R, S in the rotor. A liner B fitted in the stator has keyed therein a ported abutment member E and has a portion relieved adjacent the abutment to form the recess T. The vanes are bevelled at their tips and formed with a number of bores into which the fluid enters. A semi-cylindrical vane oscillating in a groove parallel with the axis of rotor may be used instead of the radial vanes shown. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises bore vanes with the solid portion equal to the volume of the bores. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
