Abstract

317,121. Carpmael, A., (I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.-Ges.). May 10, 1928. Colloidal sols.-A substance containing colloidal silver chloride is prepared by treating a silver albumen solution with chlorine. A silver protein compound prepared as described in Specification 18478/97 is treated with chlorine for one hour at ordinary temperature, the solution being kept neutral by the addition of small quantities of caustic soda. The solution is then dialysed with water until the latter no longer gives a chlorine reaction with silver nitrate and the solution is then evaporated to dryness in vacuo at a temperature not above 40‹ C. The substance obtained is intended for medicinal use.
