Abstract

Pastilles for treating wounds, particularly in body recesses, are made by mixing pulverized cellulose, of which the fibrous structure is retained, with at least one salt having a trivalent action such as aluminium, ferric or chromium sulphate, and stamping out the viscous mass after drying. A small quantity of sodium acetate or borate may be incorporated.
