Abstract

In the production of chromium hydroxide green from alkali dichromate and boric acid, the dichromate and boric acid are heated together in the presence of one or more other reducing agents in place of or together with the sulphur used according to the parent Specification. As reducing agents thiosulphate, thiourea, or polysulphides, or carbohydrates such as starch, sawdust, or dextrin may be used.
