Abstract

Threads and fibres of cellulose acetate and other organic derivatives of cellulose are sized with compositions having a basis of blown linseed oil which has been prepared without the use of a siccative but to which an anti-oxidizing agent, e.g. hydroquinone, has been added. The sizes can be removed by means of hot soap solution.ALSO:For sizing threads and fibres of cellulose acetate and other organic derivatives of cellulose, use is made of compositions having a basis of blown linseed oil which has been prepared without the use of a siccative but to which an anti-oxidizing agent, e.g. hydroquinone, has been added.
