Abstract
259,926. I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.- Ges., (Assignees of Akt.-Ges. f³r Anilin- Fabrikation). Oct. 14, 1925, [Convention date]. Addition to 258,237. Plates, films, and papers; emulsions, preparing. -Decomposition products of proteins, for use in making silver halide emulsions, are prepared by acid hydrolysis instead of by alkali or fermentative hydrolysis as described in the parent Specification. The proteins are treated for some time with hot dilute, nitric, sulphuric, hydrochloric, or other acid. The resulting solutions, preferably neutralized, may be highly concentrated and evaporated to dryness. Reference is made to Specification 235,210 as open to inspection under 'Sect. 91 of the Act.
