Abstract

R÷ntgen-ray tubes; vacuum tubes. - The anode of a discharge device, more particularly a R÷ntgen-ray tube, comprises a solid body provided with a grooved portion, which is closed by a cover to form a continuous passage for a cooling medium around the body. As shown in Fig. 2, a copper anode having a tungsten target 30 has formed in its near surface a spiral groove 20 covered by a plate 24, supply and discharge pipes 25, 26 being provided. In a modification, Fig. 3, a helical groove 32 is cut in the cylindrical surface of an anode, a sleeve 38, forming the cover, being secured in a recess 37. Supply and discharge ports are indicated at 33, 36. Specifications 14892/13 and 221,709 are referred to.
