Abstract

315,657. Goldbeck, H. L. Dec. 7, 1929. Bobbin and roll holders.-A holder for rolls of paper, balls of twine &c. comprises two separable flanged sections 2, 3 releasably connected by a latch 18 carried by a tubular stem 8 in the section 3 and having portions 17 projecting through slots in the stem and engaging the face of a keeper block 10 fixed in the section 2 and through which the stem 8 is guided. When a roll &c. is on the holder the sections 2, 3 cannot be separated, but when the roll &c. has been used up projections 24 on a ring 23 slidable in the section 2 become accessible and the spring arms 20 of the latch can be moved inside the stem by sliding the ring thereon, and the sections may then be separated; the flanged ends 4 of the holder are provided with supports 6. The stem is secured in the section 3 by a block 7 and devices 9 and the latch 18 is coiled around a pin 15 secured at the end of the stem, its ends being hooked at 22 and engaging around a stop pin 16 in the stem to limit their outward movement.
