Abstract
314,054. Superheater Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Schmidt'sche Heissdampf-Ges.), June 23, 1928, [Convention date]. Smoke - tub e superheaters.-The header of a smoke-tube superheater has a steam chamber 7 arranged between and spaced from two other steam, chambers 8, which are in communication with one another. The part containing the duct 9 connecting the chambers 8 is formed with a flange 10 for connection to the steam pipe. The saturated steam inlet ends and the, superheated steam outlet ends, together with the connecting boxes 3, of all the elements in a. row of smoke-tubes are arranged in one plane transversely to the header. The side chambers 8 and their connecting part may be cast in one piece or may be made separately, and they may be made in the form of a frame surrounding and supporting the central chamber. The tubes may be secured to the header by bolts passing through the space between the headers.
