Fire and smoke tube superheaters.-In a superheater having its tubes connected to headers arranged one in front of the other, the rear header projects beyond the front header, and the tubes are so connected to the projecting face of the rear header as to be readily accessible from the front. The ends of the superheating-tubes d in an horizontal row of smoke-tubes are welded to tubes h, i placed opposite the row of smoke-tubes and connected by means of detachable bridge-pieces m to the faces of wet and superheated steam headers f, g, the rear header being made wider than the front header.
