313,952. Europa Schreibmaschinen Akt.-Ges., (formerly A. E. G.-Deutsche Werke Akt.-Ges.). June 20, 1928, [Convention date]. Sheet-feeding and guiding arrangements. - A condensed-record arrangement comprises, as shown in the Figure, feed-rollers 12, mounted on a bar 9 trunnioned at 9<a> on the platen frame, and feedrollers 6 mounted on a rod 5 carried by rocking arms 7, the bar and rod being so connected, for instance by links 17, that the feed rollers 6, 12 are alternatively in engagement with the platen 1. Normally the feed-rollers 12 hold the invoice b or the like and record sheet a in engagement with the platen above the printing line. On depression of the arms 7, the feed-rollers 6 hold the record sheet by engagement with the margins, and the bar is rocked to release the feed-rollers 12, so that on release of the feed-rollers 3, 4, the invoice can be drawn upwards and removed and can then be replaced by a fresh invoice. Springs 18 hold the bar in either the normal or released position. Lateral gauges 14 for the invoice are adjustably mounted on a rod 13 on the bar. Printing-line indicators.-When the abovedescribed bar 9 is in released position, the edge 9b serves as a printing-line indicator.
