Abstract

318,583. Europa Schreibmaschinen Akt.-Ges., (formerly A. E. G.-Deutsche Werke Akt.-Ges.). Sept. 6, 1928, [Convention date]. Sheet feeding and guiding arrangements.-In condensed-record arrangements, pins 7, Figs. 1 and 4, for engaging marginal perforations in an account card to position it with respect to the printing line, are mounted on a bar 1 secured to brackets 2 on the shaft 3 of feed-rollers 4 which engage the record sheet during the positioning of the account card, means being provided for selectively projecting the pins to hold cards of different widths. Preferably the pins are secured to springs 5 on the bar, and the projecting-means consists of a shaft 9 which can be rocked by means of a finger-piece 10, a flat 8 on the shaft normally permitting the springs to withdraw the pins. To prevent projection of the middle pin when a wide account card is employed, the shaft 9 is_ moved longitudinally, a flat 11 receiving the middle spring pin when the shaft is rocked. The feedrollers may form part of the condensed-record arrangement described in Specification 313,952.
