Abstract

Reservoir pens, ink-supply arrangements for; inkstands.-A writing-instrument consists of a pen connected to an ink receptacle 12 by a flexible pipe 8 containing a wick which extends through the holder 4 into contact with the nib 1 or with a second wick 2 contacting with the nib. The pipe passes through the closure 9 for the receptacle, and is adapted to be compressed, in order to regulate the supply, by means of a clamp 13. The end of the pipe inside the holder 4 may be replaced by a glass tube. An aperture 16, not in communication with the receptacle, is formed in the body of the receptacle, to form a stand for the pen when not in use. A number of pens can be attached to a single receptacle, and the receptacle can, if desired, be sufficiently small to be carried in the pocket.
