Abstract

309,044. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Loughren, A. V.). April 3, 1928, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Thermionic amplifiers.-In an amplifier, particularly for amplifying direct currents, valves having indirectly heated cathodes are employed. Resistance coupling is employed and the anode of one valve is connected directly and conductively to the grid of the succeeding valve. The Figure shows valves 1, 2 in which the cathodes 5, 6 are maintained at different potentials so that with a common source of anode current 8 each grid is maintained at a suitable potential with regard to the cathode of the valve. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 289,217.
