Abstract
307,675. Amalgamated Carburetters, Ltd., and Brown, C. June 28, 1928. Spray - carburettors. - The fuel nozzle 7 is carried by a block 6 which forms part of the bottom of the main air passage 2 and is provided with an extension 15 bored transversely to conform with the interior shape of the air passage. the extension 15, which is surrounded by the throttle valve 27, being closed at the top bv a member 17 in which is guided a sliding air control plunger 21. The fuel nozzle 7 is controlled by a needle valve 25 carried by the throttle 27 and is surrounded bv a choke tube 8 to which primary air is supplied through an inlet 9. The plunger 21 and the throttle 27 are operated by Bowden wires 22, 18 and the throttle is cut away at 24 on the air-inlet side. Fuel for slow-running is supplied through a restriction 10 to a chamber 11 provided with air vents 12, 14 and communicating with the carburettor outlet 3 through a duct 13.
