304,102. Carpentier, L. June 26, 1928. Stropping-apparatus for razor blades consists of a casing 1 in which are rotatably mounted two feltcovered rollers 2, 3, the roller 2 being driven by a handle 5 and driving the roller 3 frictionally; the axle 6 of the roller 3 is mounted in slots 7 and pressed by springs 8. Slots 9 in the casing receive a hinged blade holder 10 so that the edge of the blade 14 lies at the line of contact of the rollers, the holder being reciprocated lengthways during stropping by an inclined disc 16, mounted on the spindle 4 of the roller 2 and engaging one of slots 15. 15<1> in the holder. The position of the holder in the slots 9 may be adjusted by pieces adjustably secured in the slots by screws and nuts 21.
