417,727. Stropping razors. BARRY, L. E., 128, Piccadilly, London. April 11, 1933, No. 10825. [Class 60.] A device for stropping double-edged razor blades comprises a spindle 2 screwed into a part 1<1> on which is mounted a handle 1, the spindle rotatably carrying roller 3 having secured thereto outstanding arms 4. The arms at their outer end carry the pivots 6 of the base 5 of a blade-holder, which has thereon blade-locating projections 11 and a hinged cover-plate 7 with a catch 9 ; the base 5 has projecting stops 12, which, by engagement with the arms 4, limit the pivotal movement of the holder. In operation, a strop 13 is passed between the roller and the blade-holder, preferably with the roller on top, and the device is moved to and fro along the strop.
