Converting pulsating currents into steady continuous currents.-A wireless receiver 0 has a plurality of contacts some of which 1, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15 are connected to leads from the sources of tension while others 2 - - 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15 are connected to circuits fed from the sources and the contacts may be connected to corresponding contacts of a holder or container W, which can be arrranged within the set and carries a transformer 20 - - 23 and a rectifier 24 with smoothing condensers 29 - - 32 and resistances 25 - - 28, for alternating-current feeding of the filaments, grid bias in the latter case being derived from the resistance 25, 28. The hightension supply is connected to the contacts 7, 11, 13 and the source of current for heating the filaments is connected to the contacts 1, 9.
