Abstract

338,191. Dicker, S. G. S., (Naamlooze Vennootshap Philips' Gloeilampenfabrieken). Aug. 13, 1929. Regulation, automatic.-The voltage of an alternating-current generator 13 is kept constant by an arrangement comprising two rectifiers 3, 4, the cathodes 6, 8 of which are heated by current supplied by the generator, one rectifier has its cathode connected to one 2 of the terminals of the generator or an impedance, on which is impressed a voltage proportional to the generator voltage, the other rectifier has its anode 7 connected to the. same terminal, and the other anode 5 and cathode are connected to one end of an impedance 9, from which amplified fluctuations are led to the cathode 17 of a third rectifier 16 in parallel with the exciting winding 15 of the generator and in series with a common current-limiting resistance 14.
