Vapour apparatus, arrangements of.-An interphase t r a n sformer connection for arc rectifiers having 12 or more phases and the secondary winding of the main polypbase transformer divided into a plurality of symmetrical star-connected groups, has the neutral point of each group connected each to a winding 6 - - 9 on one leg of an interphase transformer and the other side of the windings connected to form a star point 10, the D.C. ampÞre turns of each leg of the interphase transformer being neutralized by a separate winding 11 - - 14, the separate windings being connected in series to the star point. Instead of one transformer, a number of single-phase transformers may be used, and in either form additional unwound legs may be provided. If desired, a shell type of core could be used. As a further modification, the star-connected groups could have their secondary windings divided into sub-groups, the sub-groups in a group, and the groups themselves, being connected together by interphase transformers of the above types.
