405,183. Rectifying alternating cnrrent; transformers. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, ET CIE, Baden, Switzerland. June 24, 1933, No. 18100. Convention date, June 21. [Class 38 (ii).] In an arrangement for feeding a twelve phase rectifier comprising a transformer having twelve secondary phases 1-12 arranged in three symmetrical four phase groups the star points of which are interconnected by a choke S forming the neutral point of the winding system and the negative terminal of the D.C. system, each four phase group comprises two windings (corresponding to two of the primary phases) interconnected at their mid-points to form the star point and having their outer ends connected to other windings (corresponding to the other primary phase) in such manner that the resulting voltage vectors are at an angle of 90‹ to each other.
