392,463. Rectifying alternating current; transformers. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, ET CIE, Baden, Switzerland. Nov. 29, 1932, No. 33756. Convention date, Nov. 30, 1931. [Class 38 (ii).] An arrangement for feeding a twelve phase rectifier comprises a transformer having twelve secondary phases arranged in three symmetrical four-phase groups, the star points of which are interconnected by a three-phase zig-zag connected choke S forming the neutral point of the system and the negative terminal of the D.C. system. Each of the four-phase groups (1, 4, 7, 10) (2, 5, 8, 11) and (3, 6, 9, 12) comprises a centre tapped winding associated with one primary phase and connected at each end to a pair of windings associated one with each of the other primary phases and forming the output connections of the system.
