354,128. Rectifying alternating currents; transformers. MœLLER AKT.-GES., C. H. F., 93, Hammerbrookstrasse, Hamburg, Germany. Nov. 4, 1930, No. 33192. Convention date, Nov. 4, 1929. [Class 38 (ii).] In an arrange ment for rectify ing three-phase current, a two way switch 9 is associated with the secondary side of a supply transformer 7 in such manner that in one position it establishes star connection between the phase windings whilst in the other position it connects the winding 5 to that end of the winding 4 which is remote from its point of connection to the winding 3. Thus the voltage available at the output terminals 17, 18 which in the first position of the switch varies from 1À5 times to #3 times the maximum value of the supply voltage, may be changed to one that varies from zero to twice the maximum value of the supply voltage by changing the switch position. The switch may be structurallv combined with the transformer.
