Polyphase transformers.-The secondary winding of a three-phase twelve-phase transformer for feeding a twelve anode rectifier comprises two groups 1, 2, 3, and 1', 2<1>, 3<1> of delta-connected windings arranged on a three legged core, the groups being phase displaced in relation to each other by 60‹ and each winding being extended beyond the points of interconnection to form the twelve phase connections. A six phase star-connected choke d is connected to the mid points of the winding to provide a neutral point forming the negative side of the D.C. system fed by the rectifier, and to cause the periods of current flow in several anodes to overlap.
