Working-fluid supply.-Relates to interstage reheaters for steam power plant, in which two stages of reheating are employed, and consists in using in the second reheating stage b a portion only of the motive fluid employed for heating the first reheating stage a. In Fig. 1, both re-heaters a, b are arranged between the high and low pressure stages H, L of a turbine plant. Superheated steam is supplied by a pipe C to the heater a from which it passes by a pipe D to the turbine H, a tapping pipe E leading part of it to the heater b, the condensate of which may be used as boiler feed-water. In Fig. 2 the reheaters a, b are arranged between different stages of a turbine plant H. I, L, the second reheater b being heated by part of the steam used in the reheater a. In Fig. 3, part of the steam supplied to the reheater a is led by a pipe S to the high pressure turbine H, the remainder passing through the second reheater b. Regulating valves V<1>, V<2> may be provided. Examples are given of suitable steam pressures and temperatures.
