383,569. Steam-povver plant ; turbines. INTERNATIONAL GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Inc., 120, Broadway, New York, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Allgemeine Elektricitõts- Ges.; 2, Friedrich Karl- Ufer, Berlin.) May 30, 1932, No. 15320. Convention date, May 29, 1931. [Classes 110 (iii) and 122 (iii).] In steam-power plants wherein interstage superheating is effected by superheated steam which is re-superheated before passing to the power element, a steam cooler is arranged in the superheated steam circuit before the resuperheater. Steam from the boiler flows through the superheater 2 and through a stage superheater 3 back to the flue-gas heated resuperheater 6 before passing to the highpressure stage 4. A surface heat exchanger 7 serving as a cooler is arranged in the circuit before the re-superheater 6 and is fed with feedwater from the boiler 1 through a pipe 8 provided with a regulating valve 9. The saturated steam generated in the cooler is supplied to the circuit at 10. The steam temperature in front of the stage 5 is regulated by a valve 11 in a byepass connecting the piping passing to and from the superheater 3, and the feedwater control valve 9 is regulated by the temperature behind the re-superheater or in front of the high-pressure stage 4. Safetyvalves are provided at 12. The superheater 2 is set up for a lower temperature than the re-superheater 6.
