Superheating by steam and hot liquids.-In a turbine installation in which the elastic fluid is reheated at an intermediate point, a separate boiler supplies heating medium to the reheater. The reheater 6 is connected to the exhaust of a high-pressure turbine 2 and to the admission end of a low-pressure turbine 3. Heating fluid, preferably at a temperature substantially higher than that of the boiler supplying the turbine, is supplied to the reheater 6 from a separate boiler 11. Water, mercury, sulphur, or molten metal may be used as the heating medium. An air venting device 14 is fitted on the reheater 6.
