Abstract

258,589. Siemens - Schuckertwerke Ges. Sept. 16, 1925, [Convention date]. Superheating by steam.-A receiver 9 in which steam is reheated between turbines 6, 18 by live steam passing through a coil 7 contains a coil 12 in which feedwater is heated by a portion of the steam flowing between the turbines. The condensate of this portion of the steam flows through a pipe 46 into a tank 13 which receives also the condensate from the condenser 20 of the turbine 18. A cylinder 15 with an insulating lining 16 separates 'the coils 7, 12. In a modification, the coil 7 is heated by steam supplied bv an independent boiler. Specification 233,686, [Class 110 (iii), Turbines &c.], is referred to.
