Abstract
298,855. Hundt & Weber Ges. Nov. 10, 1927, [Convention date]. Density separators. -Dust, water, oil and the like are separated from air and other gases by means of a separating vessel (t with a tangential inlet c, and having an inner separating vessel b. Spiral pipes e, arranged as shown with their upper ends facing the moving gas, convey the gas into the vessel b. Impurities are deposited in the outer chamber a and collect on the bottom d; a second deposition occurs in the chamber b and the clean gas passes out through the pipe k. The bottom f of the chamber b is supported only by the spring g, and is depressed by the gas from the spiral pipes e. thereby exposing an outlet for the passage of the impurities from the chamber b to the chamber a. A plate i is provided in the inner chamber b to prevent the whirling of separated particles.
