Das Hauptpatent betrifft einen Gasreiniger, bei welchem das Gas durch zwei ineinanderliegende Behälter α und b geleitet wird. In jedem dieser Behälter ist eine tangentiale Einführung c und e vorgesehen, so daß das Gas einer Fliehkraftwirkung und damit einer Grobreinigung unterworfen wird. Um die Gase auch von feinen Bestandteilen zu reinigen, benutzt man oft Filter aus hygroskopischem Stoff oder Gestein; oder man benutzt schraubenlinienförmige Metallbänder, die zu einem Filter zusammengesetzt werden. Diese Ausführungen haben aber alle den Nachteil, daß ein anormal großer Druckverlust beim Durchströmen der Filtermasse auftritt. Auch verschmutzt die Filtermasse schnell, so daß ein öfteres Auswechseln, das naturgemäß mit einem großen Zeitverlust verbunden ist, erforderlich wird.The main patent relates to a gas cleaner in which the gas is passed through two nested containers α and b . Bei geringem Gasdurchgang ist der freie Querschnitt zwischen dem Ausströmrohr k und der Haube Z verhältnismäßig klein. Wird die Gasdurchgangsmenge erhöht, so daß dieser Querschnitt nicht mehr genügt, so drückt das Gas, welches durch die gebogenen Röhrchen e tangential in den zylindrischen Behälter b eintritt, die Haube Z und damit auch den Teller i und den federnden Boden / nach unten und vergrößert den Querschnitt zwischen dem Rohr k und der Haube Z.
