Rocking and folding seats; seat bottoms; rests, arm, and foot. - In a chair of the type comprising a pair of crossed frames a, b, which are not pivoted or otherwise connected where they cross, the frames are connected by two pairs of helical springs q, q<1>, each spring connecting the lower end one frame to a point midway of the other frame or approximately where the two frames cross each other. The frames a, b are connected at their lower ends by hinged frames c. The fabric band e is attached at one end to a hinged back m, passed over transverse bars n, o and is attached to a hinged foot rest k, the bars n, o forming parts of the frame b and foot rest k respectively. The band e is connected to a transverse bar at the upper end of the frame a by springs l. A hinged foot rest extension k' may be provided. Stops p limit the movement of the back m.
