Abstract

295,684. Akt.-Ges. J. J. Rieter et Cie. Aug. 17, 1927, [Convention date]. Feeding carding-engines; openers etc.; lapforming apparatus.-The material fed from a lap or from a feeding and weighing apparatus is fed by a roller and plate m or two rollers to a lickerin c and doffer f mounted in a frame adapted to be traversed across the feed apron i of a carding- engine. Dirt knives d are provided to work with the licker-in c and a doffing comb g removes the fleece from the doffer f and deposits it on the apron i. Specifications 122,342, 249,564 and 259,957 are referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the use of a rolling device to form a lap from the material on the apron i. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
