294,995. Aluminum Co. of America, (Assignees of Andersen, E. F., and Sharp, J. E.). Aug. 3, 1927, [Convention date]. Capsules; stoppers secured by clamping- devices.-In a closure for bottles or other containers in which the outwardly beaded mouth 2 is covered by a packing disc 6 secured in a resilient metal cap 3 formed with depending fingers 5 adapted to conform to and yieldingly engage the bead 2, and the cap is secured on the bottle 1 by a disruptible continuous metal band 4 having an upper flange 8 turned inwards to engage the cap and a skirt 9 spun inwards to engage the bead 2, the spinning inwards of the skirt conforms the fingers 5 to the bead 2. The top of the band 4 is provided with a tearing tab 10.
