Abstract

236,512. Aridor Patents, Ltd., (Assignees of Moyer, P. S.). July 3, 1924, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Closures completed by outstanding packing rings, packing rings for stoppers. - To ensure that a stopper shall seal the mouth of a jar or other container whether it be applied in correct alignment therewith or at an angle thereto, the stopper or container has secured to it a packing ring 6 which is convexo-concave in cross section, the convex side being arranged to engage the container or stopper. An annular flange 12 on the packing ring engages the top of the container and a groove 11 in the ring permits it to be forced past an external bead or flange 5 on the container mouth. The ring is secured between flanges 9, 10 on the stopper.
