Abstract
293,657. Kuhnast, O. Feb. 6, 1928. Splash guards.-In a two-stroke cycle internalcombustion engine compressing its charge in the front end of the cylinder, air is drawn into the pump chamber 10 on the up-stroke of the piston 2 through the suction-actuated ball valves 14. The air is drawn from the crank chamber, and a deflector 17 is used to prevent oil being splashed on these valves.
