Cigarette-making machines. - In cutting mechanism for a continuous-rod machine, a disc cutter 1 is mounted on a shaft in an adjustable holder 3 carried bv a member 4 skewed relatively to its shaft. The disc 1 is rotated by a belt B lapped over a stationary pulley 15 and adjustable pulleys 10, 11. The cutter is ground by wheels 16, 24, Fig. 2, mounted on free shafts 17, 25 carried on slides 18, 26 adjustable by screws 21, 30.
