576,282. Cutting vegetables &c. LEGG, O. Feb. 15, 1944, No. 2796. [Class 5 (i)] Knives 4 for cutting tobacco and the like are mounted on a rotatable disc 1 and are given a radial movement during rotation by engagement with a cam, crank or other eccentric member 8. The knives are carried by slides 5 working in guides 6 fixed to the disc 1. The projecting ends of the slides carry rollers 7 pressed against the cam 8 by springs 9 which at their other ends abut against stops 10.
