290,354. Molins, W. E. Feb. 11, 1927. Cigarette-making machines.-In a continuousrod machine, a fly-cutter 1 is clamped between plates 5 by a spring 13 and screws 14. Upon rotation of a shaft 4, the fly-cutter is moved outwards by centrifugal force to compensate for grinding. An adjustable grooved roller 16 maintains the cutter at a predetermined radial distance from the shaft 4. Specification 248,415 is referred to.
