Abstract

273,992. Jarvis, E. B. Feb. 22, 1927. Stationary-cutter machines. -In a machine for trimming or semi-trimming the edges of wall paper disc cutters 23 co-operate with axially adjustable bed rolls 1. The cutters 23 are carried in brackets 20 mounted on a shaft 11. The pressure on the cutters is regulated by a mass 27 adjustable along a screw 26 carried by the bracket extensions 14. A cam 29 lifts simultaneously the cutters to the inoperative position. Screw means are provided for adjusting the cutter brackets axially. Scrapers engage and clean the cutting edges of the discs and the waste is removed by a shoot.
