Cigarette-making machines. - In a machine for cutting cigarette rod in which the cutter does not reciprocate laterally, a cutter clamped between plates 23, 24 is carried on a crank pin 20 driven from a shaft 4 rotated from a shaft 6. The crank pin 20 is balanced by a casing 25, in which it is revolved by a gear 19 engaging a stationary gear 9.
