Class 31 (1) A reciprocating cutter for sheet material comprises a vertically-reciprocating knife which is connected at one end by a draw bar with a drive shaft and at the other end is connected to a crank mounted on a second shaft driven from the drive shaft ; the arrangement is such that rotation of the drive shaft through a cycle simultaneously moves both ends of the knife first downwardly and then upwardly. The arrangement is identical with that described in Specification 707,087. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 689,441.
