[Class 112] The edges of carpets or other material are kept close to a guide 1 by means of a series of opposed grooved rollers 7, 8, operating on both sides of the material, mounted so as to rotate in planes slightly oblique to the direction of the guide. The rollers may be positively driven. The upper rollers are mounted on an adjustable plate 4 and the plate has a depending part 19 which keeps the edge of the material from rising.
