Abstract

219,211. Cuccia, F. A. N. Oct. 2, 1923. Stream-cutting machines; delivery.-A machine for receiving from a press A and severing into lengths macaroni, spaghetti &c. comprises an endless support constituted by sections 19 of canvas &c. attached to channel members 20 which are attached at 21 to chains 17 and co-operate with a knife carried by blocks 23 reciprocated by eccentrics 29 mounted on a shaft 27 driven through sprockets engaging the chains 17. The knife enters alternate channels and the severed lengths are picked up by a rod inserted into the intermediate channels.
